1. Plant Nursery

  • Supplying 30,000 plants annually across India and for export.
  • Exported jackfruit plants from India to Mauritius for the first time from India, expanding market opportunities for Indian horticulture.
  • Under the company’s initiative, 1,700 acres of cultivation has been achieved by farmers over the past four years.
  • Promoting organized cultivation of jackfruit on farmlands.
  • Providing technical assistance and high-yield varieties. Jackfruitking’s has collection of 86 varieties across the globe.

This initiative will enhance market accessibility, improve farmer incomes, and create a sustainable supply ecosystem for jackfruit and its value-added products.

7. Impact on Community

  • Farmer Empowerment: Increasing income levels for small and marginal farmers by integrating them into the jackfruit value chain and ensuring fair market prices. Through our high yielding saplings and buy back support farmers have benefitted with up to Rs. 4500 additional income. Our Carbon Credits Pilot Project in collaboration with Reserve Bank of India has benefitted Rs. 1000 each.
  • Job Creation: Generating employment opportunities in farming, processing, logistics, and retail sectors.
  • Sustainability Contribution: Promoting sustainable agricultural practices, reducing food waste, and enhancing eco-friendly processing techniques.
  • Nutritional Security: Providing high-quality, nutritious plant-based food alternatives, contributing to food security and better dietary options.
  • Women Empowerment: Encouraging women’s participation in agriculture, processing, and entrepreneurial activities, providing them with financial independence and leadership opportunities. We aim to increase women participation to 45% in the Agri–value chain.
  • Training & Skill Development: Conducting capacity-building programs for farmers and Agripreneurs to improve productivity and value addition. So far, around 7,000 farmers and agripreneurs have visited our research center across the country. Mr. Mithilesh Desai is a key resource person for the Jackfruit Mission of Goa State and Meghalaya State. Mr. Desai is also a key person at India’s first and only Jackfruit Research Centre in Lanja.
  • Climate Resilience: Developing sustainable and climate-resilient agricultural models through research and innovative farming techniques.
  • Export & Market Linkages: Creating direct market access for farmers by establishing global supply chains and reducing dependency on middlemen.
